Vision & Beliefs
Our vision is for Maadi Community Church to be an oasis of refuge and renewal, equipping people and releasing resources to flood the nations with the transforming life of Christ.
Because of the diversity of our community - with around 40 nationalities representing an equal number of denominational groups - we do not get tied up in the many side issues that divide believers. Our vision provides the basis for Maadi Community Church’s long term purpose which is to:
-
Worship - Exalt God the Father, Son and Holy Spirit
-
Fellowship - Establish and multiply caring communities of believers
-
Discipleship - Equip and empower believers for effective ministry
-
Ministry - Embrace and edify others through service
-
Outreach - Extend and proclaim the good news of Jesus Christ
And we hold fast the basic yet profound truths contained in the ancient Apostles' Creed. In this way we plug into the historic Christian faith without getting lost in debatable details.
I believe in God, the Father Almighty, the Creator of heaven and earth, and in Jesus Christ, His only Son, our Lord: Who was conceived of the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, died, and was buried. He descended to the dead; The third day He arose again from the dead. He ascended into heaven and sits at the right hand of God the Father Almighty, whence He shall come to judge the living and the dead. I believe in the Holy Spirit, the holy universal church, the communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body, and life everlasting. Amen
Egypt has always played a central role in God's purposes and, according to God's promises in Isaiah 19, he will both bless Egypt and cause his blessings to flow out of Egypt to the rest of the world. This is happening today, in part, through Maadi Community Church in Cairo, Egypt .
From over 40 denominations people come for renewal. New life flows freely at this spiritual oasis, creating living streams in the desert. The kingdom of heaven is displayed on faces of every color because hearts are united in Jesus and growing into abundance of life and spiritual fruitfulness.
People come to Egypt from more than 40 nations for refuge. The four million Sudanese refugees in Cairo most clearly display the desperate needs for basic life sustenance, education, skills and employment that many expatriates in Egypt require. Others need refuge from broken relationships, addiction, shallow faith or hollow success.
