Council

Tony Brewer and his wife Penny have been married over 21 years and have a son Justin attending Missouri State University and a daughter Courtney that is a junior at CAC. This is Tony's second assignment in Egypt and the family's first. Tony's job brought him back to Egypt but he believes God has a greater purpose for him being here. Prior to coming to Egypt last June, Tony served as a board member for 3 years at New Covenant Academy, a non-denominational Christian school.

Dan Coster and his wife Ann have raised their family here in Egypt for 14 of the last 18 years. They moved away for four years from 1997 to 2001 and were thrilled to move back....largely because of the opportunity to reconnect to MCC. Dan's perspective is that MCC has had such a positive impact on him, his family and his relationship with Jesus, that he is honored to serve on council and make his talents available back to MCC. He is currently serving as the Council chairman.

Nada Dragicevic:  Born in Montenegro where there are very few Christians, Nada credits her grandmother’s prayers with her receiving the Lord.  She is married to an Egyptian and has been attending MCC since 1999. Nada has been waiting on the Lord for His next ministry for her and believes it is now through serving on the Council.

Liz Eggleton and Brian have been married 40 years. They came to Egypt to be grandparents to their grandchildren - Rebekah and Joshua whose parents have been here for 12 years.  Also and very importantly, they believe that God asked them to pray and to this end they belong to the intercessors group which meets at MCC daily. For medical reasons their family is returning to UK this summer but they both feel that God would have them to stay here, for which they have the blessing of all their family in the UK. They are life group leaders and Liz is part of Maadi Women's Guild.

Paul Jung has been in Cairo for 11 years. He has been married to Paula for 13 years and has three lovely kids, Soon Jin, Soon Jong, and Soon Young, who attend Korean primary school. Paul believes that MCC has given him dynamic energy, encouragement, and great chances to practice heavenly worship. Paul has served on the worship team for the last 7 years.

Gerald Lauche  is happily married to Ingrid for almost 24  years, and the father of five lovely daughters. He made a decision for Christ at the age of 16. He has lived in Egypt since 1987 and is still involved in the work of the German Hospital in Aswan.  At present he works as a theology teacher and for the last 2 years he has been on the MCC Council.  His vision is that the multi-national and multi-cultural character of MCC be reflected on the Council.

Maged Rizk has been working in publishing in Cairo for around 23 years. He has been married to Judith even longer than that, and they have 3 lovely children who are nicely placed all over the world. Dave has served the past two years on the Church Council.

Arie van Leeuwen & his wife Trix have attended MCC since they first moved to Egypt in 1998. They have been married for almost 25 years and have 3 children currently living in the Netherlands, their home country.
