Council

Nada Dragicevic:  Born in Montenegro where there are very few Christians, Nada credits her grandmother’s prayers with her receiving the Lord.  She is married to an Egyptian and has been attending MCC since 1999. Nada has been waiting on the Lord for His next ministry for her and believes it is now through serving on the Council.

Liz Eggleton and Brian have been married 40 years. They came to Egypt to be grandparents to their grandchildren - Rebekah and Joshua whose parents have been here for 12 years. Also and very importantly, they believe that God asked them to pray and to this end they belong to the intercessors group which meets at MCC daily. For medical reasons their family is returning to UK this summer but they both feel that God would have them to stay here, for which they have the blessing of all their family in the UK. They are life group leaders and Liz is part of Maadi Women's Guild.

Godwin Orji Eke & his wife Felicia are blessed with two children Fedora (2years) and Gabriel (two weeks) after having their marriage soleminazation at MCC in 2008. Godwin accepted Christ at the tender age of 15 and has been involved in youth ministry in Nigeria before moving to Cairo, ,in 2004. In January2005, he came to know MCC through some friends and after his first worship service, he really knew he belonged at MCC as various training he received helped to reshape his life goals and pursuit. Godwin loves ushering people with great smiles to their seats during each service either during Africa Live Services or western services. He is currently teaching young children English, one area he has touched the lives of many. Ask him what keeps him happy? He simply says, "Service to God and Humanity".

Sam Hampton has been married to his wife Kim for 32 years and they have three children and three grandchildren. Since arriving in Cairo in the summer of 2009 Sam and Kim have been fascinated by the diversity of the people living and working here and attending MCC. Having served previously in church leadership roles in other non-denominational Christian churches Sam is looking forward to serving God here at MCC.

Skip Krupa & his wife Bonnieved to Egypt in 1997 and have attended Maadi Community Church since they arrived. Skip, retired from Los Angeles School District in 1990 and open MastersCraft Home Repair business before coming to Egypt.  Skip enjoys using his talents in repairing and fixing most anything.  Skip has felt an increasing call to serve in the church and is willing to serve on the church council.

Hans van der Beek  Since October 2008 Hans and his wife have been living in Maadi. They have have three sons, two daughters in law and two grandchildren, all back in the Netherlands. Hans is a specialist in agriculture and works at the Netherlands Embassy in Cairo to facilitate Dutch and Egyptian agricultural companies and organisations in joint activities and trade. Hans loves the Church as it is Gods invention. He says, " It is wonderful to be a co-worker of Christ, especially in this period of history in this part of the world."

Arie van Leeuwen & his wife Trix have attended MCC since they first moved to Egypt in 1998. They have been married for almost 25 years and have 3 children currently living in the Netherlands, their home country. Arie is involved in several projects for mentally disabled people here in Cairo and has worked for 6 years with the hearing impaired people in vocational training.  He has been part of the worship teams of MCC for years. His hobbies are playing guitar, listening to music and biking in the desert.

Clayton Williams  and his wife Julie have been married for 33 years and have two married sons and a grandson. Clayton and Julie came to Cairo already aware of the kind of service that MCC has to the community from the website and other people who have been involved in the church. The opportunity to serve the church and the community was a significant part of the reason they wanted to come to Cairo. Clayton has been involved in leadership roles in non-denominational churches in the USA and is a life group leader with a great group here at MCC.

Bill Word works for Apache Egypt Companies. He has a 5 year old daughter (Cate) who was born in Cairo. Bill is a Certified Public Accountant in the state of Texas. He believes the Lord has wonderful plans for MCC and feels led to offer his time and talents in service.
