Vision & Beliefs
We are an international oasis of Jesus-worshipers being transformed to be the Church through connecting, equipping, and launching.
Church is not a place, rather it’s a people who are to Be the Church:
• “Jesus-worshipers” exalt the triune God during weekend worship services and throughout the week.
• “Being transformed” shapes our heart to be more and more like Jesus (Romans 12:1-2).
• “Connecting” makes relationships a priority, especially in small groups (Acts 2:46).
• “Equipping” empowers every believer in effective and fulfilling ministry (Ephesians 4:11-12).
• “Launching” lives out Jesus in everyday life in the global community (Acts 1:8).
Because of the diversity of our community–over 40 nationalities representing an equal number of denominational groups—we do not get tied up in the many side issues that can divide believers. Our vision provides the basis for Maadi Community Church’s long term purpose.
We hold fast to the basic yet profound truths contained in the ancient Apostles' Creed. In this way we plug into the historic Christian faith without getting lost in debatable details.
I believe in God, the Father Almighty, the Creator of heaven and earth, and in Jesus Christ, His only Son, our Lord: Who was conceived of the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, died, and was buried. He descended to the dead; The third day He arose again from the dead. He ascended into heaven and sits at the right hand of God the Father Almighty, whence He shall come to judge the living and the dead. I believe in the Holy Spirit, the holy universal church, the communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body, and life everlasting. Amen
Egypt has always played a central role in God's purposes and, according to God's promises in Isaiah 19, He will both bless Egypt and cause His blessings to flow out of Egypt to the rest of the world. Maadi Community Church in Cairo, Egypt wants to be part of God’s flow of blessings.
From over 40 denominations people come to worship Jesus. New life flows freely at this spiritual oasis, creating living streams in the desert. The kingdom of heaven is displayed on faces of every color because hearts are united in Jesus and growing into abundance of life and spiritual fruitfulness.
People come to Egypt from more than 40 nations for transformation. Refugees in Cairo display the desperate needs for basic life sustenance, education, skills and employment while sojourning in a foreign land. Therefore, we build relationships with partners who address these needs in the expatriate and even in the Egyptian populations. Many others with material resources still need refuge from difficult circumstances, broken relationships, addictions, shallow faith or hollow success. These are important functions for a people who are called to “Be the Church.”
