Who We Are
For more than 60 years Maadi Community Church (MCC) has operated in the garden suburb of Maadi, Cairo, ministering predominantly to the western expatriate community. However in the past 14 years MCC's involvement in the wider local and Christian community has grown dramatically to embrace a wider international diversity. In 2000 MCC established the Evangelical International Church to spearhead MCC's development and outreach ministries.
In 2003 EIC was recognized by the Egyptian government and licensed as a national church. In 2006, the MCC church family decided to bring its activities under the banner of EIC, to obtain the legal status that it had previously lacked. Today the legal entity of EIC encapsulates both MCC's church-based ministries and its external activities in the local, regional and international communities.
-
MCC regularly attracts people to from up to 40 different countries (and just as many denominations) to each of our 3 weekend services.
-
Our Life Groups minister to hundreds of people weekly throughout Maadi and other districts of Cairo.
- The Community Development & Outreach Division supports a wide range of initiatives, led predominantly by servant hearted refugee and local leaders, which are having a powerful impact - through Christ - among both the local communities and displaced peoples in and around Cairo and elsewhere in Egypt.
