African Hope Learning Center (AHLC) : The African Hope Learning Center provides a full educational curriculum for over 530 students annually (from KG to Grade 12) as well as a growing number of adults attending evening courses. The children receive an education superior to any available in Sudan by a caring Christian staff. AHLC is one of only a couple of refugee schools in greater Cairo offering high school (secondary) level education. For more ways to get involved kindly contact EIC or visit: http://www.ahlc.info/.
Eastern Europe Gateway (EEG) : EEG originally began with several MCC members who were called to establish a Cell Ministry and plant new churches in Eastern Europe starting from Romania. Their vision is “to establish and develop a Cell Ministry in local churches throughout eastern European countries and to share the gospel with different ethnic communities living in Europe.” Visit www.eegateway.org for more information.
Found Africa Children’s Learning Center : Found began as a Bible study in a small apartment, and has grown into a school to meet the needs of children in the refugee community. In spite of facing serious financial difficulties and working with a very small space, Found serves around 200 children in grades 1-8 each year. The kids receive a meal every day at school and are cared for by a great staff of Sudanese teachers and administrators.
Maadi Community School (MCS) serves the community of Christian families in Cairo, by providing a quality international education - at an affordable cost - which prepares students to go on to secondary or tertiary education in their home countries or elsewhere. Currently there are over 75 students in KG through Grade 8 from 18 different countries. For more information please visit http://www.mceducation.org/.
Maadi Women's Guild : One of the most established Christian benevolent ministries in Egypt, Maadi Women's Guild has been serving the international community in Maadi for more than 30 years, providing fellowship for women of all nations and denominations and - at the same time - reaching out to some of the poorest and underprivileged people in Cairo.
Petrescue Bible Institute (PBI) : Born out of the vision to raise up and equip Christian leaders, each year over 150 adult students graduate from PBI's Bible classes and move on to further training or ministries in Egypt, Africa, and the Middle East. As part of PBI’s vision to grow, English and Arabic classes are now offered as a baseline course for new students.
Sudanese Community Church : Originally an outreach of Maadi Community Church, SCC was formed out of the need to serve the large number of Sudanese that migrated to the Cairo area within the past few decades. Currently, there are 100 - 200 attending weekly worship services in Arabic, even after many Sudanese nationals have repatriated.
